A ido a Fanon, a Lumumba y a Biko.
United We Stand. Divided We Fall.
"I Have a Dream."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Have_a_Dream Martin Luther King, Jr.
"A true revolution of values will soon look uneasily on the glaring contrast of poverty and wealth. With righteous indignation, it will look across the seas and see individual capitalists of the West investing huge sums of money in Asia, Africa and South America, only to take the profits out with no concern for the social betterment of the countries, and say: "This is not just." Martin Luther King, Jr.
"You can't talk about solving the economic problem of the Negro without talking about billions of dollars. You can't talk about ending the slums without first saying profit must be taken out of slums. You're really tampering and getting on dangerous ground because you are messing with folk then. You are messing with captains of industry? Now this means that we are treading in difficult water, because it really means that we are saying that something is wrong? with capitalism? There must be a better distribution of wealth and maybe America must move toward a democratic socialism." Martin Luther King, Jr.
"I realized racism isn't just a black and white problem. It's brought bloodbaths to about every nation on earth at one time or another. Brother, remember the time that white college girl came into the restaurant ? the one who wanted to help the Muslims and the whites get together ? and I told her there wasn't a ghost of a chance and she went away crying? Well, I've lived to regret that incident. In many parts of the African continent I saw white students helping black people. Something like this kills a lot of argument. I did many things as a [black] Muslim that I'm sorry for now. I was a zombie then ? like all [black] Muslims ? I was hypnotized, pointed in a certain direction and told to march. Well, I guess a man's entitled to make a fool of himself if he's ready to pay the cost. It cost me 12 years. That was a bad scene, brother. The sickness and madness of those days ? I'm glad to be free of them." Malcolm Little.
"While we did not always see eye to eye on methods to solve the race problem, I always had a deep affection for Malcolm and felt that he had a great ability to put his finger on the existence and the root of the problem. He was an eloquent spokesman for his point of view and no one can honestly doubt that Malcolm had a great concern for the problems we face as a race." Martin Luther King, Jr.
There are those who will consider it their duty, as friends of the Negro people, to tell us to revile him, to flee, even from the presence of his memory, to save ourselves by writing him out of the history of our turbulent times. Many will ask what Harlem finds to honor in this stormy, controversial and bold young captain ? and we will smile. Many will say turn away ? away from this man, for he is not a man but a demon, a monster, a subverter and an enemy of the black man ? and we will smile. They will say that he is of hate ? a fanatic, a racist ? who can only bring evil to the cause for which you struggle! And we will answer and say to them: nOIZBAIT mALCOLM aNAIAREKIN HITZ EGIN AL DUZU? nOIZBAIT UKITU AL DUZU, EDO IRRI EGIN AL DIZU? nOIZBAIT EGIATAN ENTZUN AL DIOZU? nOIZBAIT EGIATAN ZERBAIT EGIN AL ZUEN? nOIZBAIT BIOLENTZIAREKIN EDO KALEKO BORROKAREKIN BAT AL ZETORREN? bERAZ GALDERA HAUEN ERANTZUNAK BADAKIZKIZU BERAU EZAGUTU ZENUEN. eTA ZUK BERAU EZAGUTU BAZENU ULERTUKO ZENUKE ZERGATIKAN OHORETU BEHAR DUGUN BERAU.

On behalf of Spain's Pan-Africanist Federation
Obituary: Tcham Bissa, an African revolutionary in Spain
The Pan-Africanist Federation of Spain's Black Communities is sad to announce the death of Tcham Bissa Nankofe, its vice-president, leading representative in the Basque region and an indefatigable fighter for the cause of Africa's freedom.
Tcham Bissa died of a heart failure in the Basque city of Bilbao on October 19, 2007. He was 54 years old.
Born in Guinea-Bissau, Bissa grew up in Guinea-Conakry. He studied economics and commerce, obtaining his diploma from the Ben Aknun Institute in Algeria in 1974. From early on, he joined the African Party for the Independence of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde (PAIGC) to fight Portuguese colonialism. Bissa later recalled with pride how he had campaigned alongside the likes of Kwame Nkrumah, Sekou Toure, Kwame Toure and Amilcar Cabral. Portuguese persecution forced him to go into exile in Guinea-Conakry.
After Guinea-Bissau became independent in 1973, Bissa held technical posts in several government ministries and helped to set up agricultural and fisheries projects. He also studied trade unionism at Sofia University in Bulgaria, and was promoted to senior posts in his country, such as those of a chief of protocol in the finance ministry and senior official for international cooperation.
In 1995, Bissa arrived in Spain from Portugal. In Europe, he did not only lead the typical life of an immigrant, working at construction jobs. He also engaged himself in favour of the civil rights of immigrants, joining the Black Panther Movement in 1998.
Bissa helped to set up the Afrovasca, a Basque Pan-Africanist association, and its successors. He became the Basque leader for the current Pan-Africanist Federation and, after Spain's 2nd Pan-Africanist Congress in Madrid in 2005, its vice-president and one of its international representatives. He was also a member of the Spanish delegation to the African Union-African Diaspora in Europe Conference in Paris in September 2007. Bissa worked tirelessly to set up Europe's 1st Pan-Africanist Congress,( http://thevoiceforum.org/node/573) which was to bring 600 delegates to Bilbao, and the preparations of which were interrupted by his unexpected passing.
Tcham Bissa is mourned not only by his wife, five children and entire family, but by many of Spain's Africans, who will never forget his clarity of vision, optimism and resilience in the fight against oppression.
"Like the death of any African freedom fighter, that of Tcham is heavier than a mountain," says Abuy Nfubea, president of Spain's Pan-Africanist Federation. "The ancestors will welcome him and cherish him with more kindness than he received in this racist society. Thank you, Tcham, for leaving us the greatness of your spirit and for showing us that Africans did not come to this world to be defeated, but to win."

Before the band sing Nkosi Nkelele, let me tell you what i feel .
I can translate you all because i know all of you understand my pain, who have dared to say. I can not remember exactly where, but the Maristas teach me that the Bible say, ?We shall have our freedom or the earth will be levelled by our attempts to gain it, so death is a common occurrence. It is something we had to accept, for we knew that in waging struggle to free ourselves from the chains of slavery, our choices are small, either to be jailed or assassinated - but we had Nothing to lose and everything to gain. That it the great contribution of Bissa to tha african reparation movement which he coordinated in Spain.
We know that where there is struggle there is sacrifice. The death of Tcham was a great sacrifice, for in our struggle some deaths are lighter than a feather and others are as weighty as a mountain. The death of tcham was/as is the death of all revolutionaries and freedom fighters/weightier than a mountain, for tcham not only practiced the principles of revolutionary warfare - he taught others to do the same.
Dr. Huey p Newton used to say, "A revolutionary is a professional of love , so you must be a professional revolutionary." In his life and death Tomas Sankara said:
To the outgunned, the outnumbered and sometimes out manned, To the freedom fighters who fought hard and played their part in the fight for the land, War wounds and battle scars, discarded dreams and broken hearts, Countless casualties and millions to be mourned, Fallen comrades, captured soldiers and prisoners of war, Cats who haven't been compromised and those who have lost their lives. Those who chose to die first rather than go to the other side,The emotionally effected, those forgotten and neglected,Men and women we didn't defend because so-called society rejected,The ones they slandered and also hated, The imprisoned, the tortured and the isolated, The visionaries, the dreamers, the fighters and speakers, The resistors, the rides (sic), the rank and file and leaders. We've incurred many losses in a number of ways, Let the record reflect revolutionary respect for the price that you paid
It is with much sadness that I say my last goodbye to brother Tcham .He was my brother, my comrade, and my friend. We eat in the same plate we met nearly 10 years ago, when we were both members of FOJA Black Panther Movement in Spain. Before A Million Youth March in Harlem, Tcham was impacted by the speech of Kalilh Mohamed. after Durban conference in Sudafrica, who change the mentality of black organization in Spanish world I met brother Tcham against in Bilbao in those days he was member of afro vasca association and I was invited to make a presentation of omowale magazine at likiniano bookstore in Basque Country . He look me with his bigs ayes and he say me :you need a bodyguard and during those 3 days in Bilbao he was my bodyguard and personal secretary .During the historically 2nd Pan-African congress Tcham made a leadership and capacity work and dedication . Central committee of pan-African federation ask him to write the statement congress about the social conditions of black working class in Basque country .He headed a Basque delegation with 28 members. After the congress he became the leaders of our movement in Euskadi and member of INTERNACIONALS affairs delegation in Brussels. In this point he travelled a lot Berlin, London, Lisbon, Colombia, Nurember, Austria and Paris was the last conference AU-Diaspora convulsive conference. Before that in October 12th Columbus day he coordinate the 1st reparation March in sprain with more than 2,000 people marching in Madrid. Thank you to brother Tcham the struggle of black people in Spain in very known in every where you go.
Even then, I was impressed by his sincerity, his Commitment and his burning energy. He was a descendent of slaves and he inherited the legacy of neo-slavery. He says no to all housse Negro in Spain, because as Winnie Mandela he believed that organize and compromise the struggle Was the only way that African people in Europe could rid us of oppression and negrofobia
As a Blackman loving Malcolm x and cabral struggling in Europe , he experienced the most vicious forms of racism, withe supremacy, cruelty, and indifference. As a political activist, he was targeted, persecuted, hounded, and harassed by Portuguese . Because of her political activities, he became apolitical reffuge and spent many years in exile in Conakry. But he continued to believe in freedom, and he continued to fight for it.
In spite of his personal suffering, in spite of chronic, life- threatening illnesses, he continued to struggle. He gave the best that he had to give to our people and our movement. He devoted her life, her love, and her best energies to fighting for the liberation of oppressed people. He struggled selflessly, he could be trusted, he was consistent, and he could always be counted to do what needed to be done. He was a soldier, a warrior-discipline man who did everything he could to free his people and to free all immigrants that he use to call political prisoners.
His absence will be felt. He will be sincerely missed. I have faith that the Ancestors will welcome her, cherish her, and treat her with more love, justed and less racist that he ever received here on this earth. I pray that her sisters and brothers, who we continue to walk on this planet, will honor his memory by continuing his work, by continuing his struggle, and refusing to quit until all oppressed people and all African immigrants in the Diaspora are free
We will love you forever

TCHAM , EL GRAN AFRICANO DESCONOCIDO
27.01.2008 - 17:56
Conocí a varios delegados vascos negros o afrovascos.

No podemos seguir consintiéndolo.
